Foodregisseur Tobias Reymond sluit zich (weer) aan bij Cake. Met zijn langdurige ervaring op dit specialistische terrein neemt hij een bijzondere plaats in op een gebied waar beauty een steeds belangrijkere rol zal vervullen. Natuurlijk zal hij daarnaast zijn activiteiten binnen zijn fotostudio continueren.

Nominations & Awards

The commercial "Mummysuit", directed by Rene Nuijens, was nominated this month for a Golden Loekie Award. This is this year's second Cake production on the nominees list. Last January, the "Champaign" commercial for BCC, directed by Steffen Haars, was also nominated.

Another BCC commercial, also directed by Steffen, was awarded with a "Lamp" at the annual ADCN Awards. The commercial "Hero" with the singing animals, was nominated in the categories "Best Director" and "Best Commercial". In the last categorie, the commercial won the "Lamp".

Michiel ten Horn has finished 3 shorts. All three will be released during the Dutch Film Festival in Utrecht. "Arie" is nominated for the "Gouden Kalf" competiton and "Alex in Amsterdam" for the Debute Competition of the Festival. Besides this, Michiel directed the new TV Commercial for IKEA.

Steffen en Flip have finalized shooting a new season of "New Kids". Previous seasons already generated over 6 million views on YouTube. The 3rd season will air on Comedy Central every Friday night starting on 25 September.

The Music Video "Buma in me zak", directed by Maurice Trouwborst, was nominated for the "Dutch Music Video Competition" of the "Shoot-me" Film Festival in The Hague.

Wouter Jansen has entered the board of the PANL (Photography Association).

Dennis Duijnhouwer shot all the website and promo materials for the "New Kids". For REVU Magazine he travelled through Dutch youth campingsites and came back with an interesting covershoot. His "Dancehall" series will also be published in REVU. Furthermore he shot DJ Carl Cox for the cover of the British "SUP Magazine". Dennis' work appears monthly in "Blend" and "CJP" Magazines.

Marte finalized her work on the documentary about her grandfather, sculptor Piet Esser. The documentary will be released during the Dutch Film Festival in Utrecht. ]]> Thu, 24 Sep 2009 08:14:09 +0200 Cake Awards

At the prestigious ADCN Awards, director Maurice Trouwborst scooped up a Lamp in the category "Best Sound" for his Music Video Viral "Berlingo Trio".

For their recent campaign, The Friesland Healthcare Insurance Company was awarded a Golden SpinAward in the category "Best content". Albert Jan van Rees directed the accompanying TV Commercial.

The project "Base-X" for the Royal Airforce won a SpinAward in the category "Best Design". Cake Photographer Daniel J. Ashes was responsible for the kick ass photography.

Cake Nominations

At the ADCN Awards, Michiel ten Horn was nominated for a Young Directors Award for his work on the latest IKEA TV Commercial.
